General Information and Conditions of Sales

Order Quantity / Order Size:      Due to the nature of production, we reserve the right to deliver up to a variation of plus or minus 5% of the ordered quantity, and to adjust our charges pro-rata.  Minimum order to the value of £50.00. Minimum quantity for plain stock – 50 pieces.  Please see price list for minimum printed quantity on individual items.

Bottle Washing Instructions:  Please hand wash using a mild washing detergent in hand hot water.  All bottles, tops and dust caps are not recommended for use in the dishwasher.

Set-up and Screen Costs:  The prices shown in the price list do not include origination, set-up and screen costs, please see the specific price list for these details.

Product Colours:     Available product colours vary from model to model.  Tonal variations from stated Pantone references may occur, there may also be variation in any re-order to the original order.

Special Product Colours:      For orders from 5,000 pieces, special colours can be arranged; a 5% surcharge may be applied.

Artwork:    To be supplied via email or CD/DVD to be in vectorised eps PC format..  Please call for further details.  We reserve the right to charge for requested changes to customer’s supplied artwork.  Please note we can only print as good as the artwork provided, so please ensure that the quality of the artwork provided is to your satisfaction. 

Proof Reading:    We always request artwork to be ‘signed off’ and sent by fax or email.  Please ensure that not only the layout, quantity and colours are checked, but also any wording and spelling – as on occasions, we will re-set certain orders or parts of orders.  It is advisable to print a copy of the layout to see the quality of your artwork that will be used to create the screen/s.

Samples & Sampling:   Sample headphones, pedometers, tote bags, towels, T & polo shirts, bottle carriers and sunglasses are charged for at  £5.00 plus vat, postage and packaging, all other samples are at our discretion. Due to the processes involved in manufacturing and printing our product range, we charge for pre-production sampling.  Please call for further details.

Registration of 2 or more colour designs:   In multi-coloured designs where close registration of two or more colours is required, there is the possibility of mis-registration of up to 1mm, depending upon the size, shape and design of the artwork.  This tolerance meets industry standards and must be considered acceptable.

Special Print Colours:   If we have to mix colours to match a required Pantone, then a charge at cost is made.  This is normally £25.00 per colour mixed.  You will be informed of any said costs prior to printing.  Pantone colours, may not be exact matches, tonal variations may be experienced.  Pantone colours vary from original order and any re-order.

Delivery:   Please allow 4-6 weeks from receipt of approval of artwork, 8-10 weeks for sunglasses and certain large orders of tote bags, headphones and pedometers.  Any time or date for delivery by the Company is made in good faith.  Whilst the Company will make every effort to meet the estimate, no liability will be accepted for the consequences of any delay.  All risk in the goods supplied to the buyer shall pass at the time of delivery to the buyer’s premises.  Title to the goods supplied will not pass until the buyer makes payment in full.  The Company reserves the right of lieu on any of their goods already in the buyers possession to the value of the unpaid account.  Claims for the non delivery must be made to the Company and carriers within 14 days of invoice.  Shortages must be notified within 7 days.

Payment:   Payment of invoices are due for settlement 30 days after the date of the invoice and being on a strictly nett basis.  Goods will be invoiced at prices ruling at date of despatch.  For all new customers the first order will always be on a Proforma basis – if for any reason payment is late we reserve the right to charge for storage costs incurred by First Editions Ltd, due to this late payment.

Cancellation:   Cancellation of orders will not be accepted once manufacture of the goods has commenced.  The buyer will indemnify the seller against all damages, penalties, costs and expenses to which the seller may become liable as a result of work done in accordance with the buyers design or copyright, or the buyer’s customer’s registered design or copyright.

Returned Goods:    Special printed and manufactured goods will not be accepted for return, unless proven faulty.  Any fault must be reported in writing within 14 days of delivery.  All goods found to be faulty or wrongly printed must be returned prior to the replacement order being delivered.   It is the buyer’s responsibility to ascertain the suitability of the product prior to ordering.  Only standard plain goods will be accepted for return and only with prior agreement.  These returned goods will carry a 20% re-stocking charge.

UK Law:   All accepted orders placed with First Editions Limited will be deemed to be covered under the jurisdiction of English Law.  Unless expressly accepted in writing any qualification of these conditions contained in any written or printed document of the buyer shall be deemed to be inapplicable.
